Pendulum Vans is a high-end custom van upfitter specializing in adventure-ready Mercedes Sprinter builds, commercial vans and executive coaches. We design and build clean, rugged, fully integrated vans for clients nationwide, and we’re growing fast.

We’re looking for a hands-on Van Builder who takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys working with their hands, and wants to be part of a focused, high-quality build team.

This role is for someone who wants to build vans, not manage projects or run logistics.

What You’ll Be Doing

Van Build & Assembly

  • Install insulation, subfloors, wall and ceiling panels
  • Assemble and install cabinetry, bed systems, seating, and interior components
  • Assist with layout and installation of electrical, plumbing, and modular systems
  • Install exterior components such as roof racks, bumpers, ladders, and accessories
  • Follow build plans and standards to ensure consistent, high-quality results

Shop Collaboration

  • Work closely with the build team and project manager to keep builds moving
  • Communicate clearly about progress, issues, and next steps
  • Keep your work area clean, organized, and efficient

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone reliable who shows up on time and takes ownership of their work
  • Pride in craftsmanship and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a shop environment and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and problem-solve
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, or mechanical assembly

We’re happy to train the right person with a strong work ethic.

Bonus If You Have

  • Experience with van, RV, automotive, or marine builds
  • Background in cabinetry, woodworking, finish carpentry, or fabrication
  • Experience installing electrical, plumbing, or vehicle accessories
  • An eye for clean finishes and professional-grade work

Perks & Schedule

  • Full-time role at our Tempe, AZ shop
  • 4-day workweek (Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–4:30 PM)
  • Paid time off and sick/personal days
  • Work on unique, high-end builds
  • Clear paths for growth as the company scales
