Van Life in Reno: A Comprehensive Guide
April 23, 2025Van Life in Gilbert, Arizona: A Comprehensive Guide

A couple of decades ago, Gilbert used to be farmland — now it’s one of the most livable, cleanest, and safest cities in Arizona, full of families, foodies, cyclists, and yes, an increasing number of Sprinter vans rolling through the palm-lined roads. It doesn’t have the rugged edge of Sedona or the bustle of Phoenix, but it makes up for that with amenities, nature access, epic sunsets, and a downtown that looks straight out of a Hallmark movie.

Day parking is easy and everywhere — near libraries, trailheads, or quiet commercial areas. Overnight stealth camping isn’t recommended in residential zones (strict HOA culture), but you’ve got plenty of nearby campgrounds, travel centers, and 24-hour gyms for that.

Sunsets here are vanlife gold.
