Van Life Vibe
Lincoln’s vibe is welcoming, mellow, and safe. You’re not going to see tons of other vans on every block, but the city works really well for vanlifers. There’s zero traffic, giant parking lots, and a general Midwestern attitude of “you do your thing.” Stealth camping isn’t common in neighborhoods, but there’s enough public land, campgrounds, and overnight-friendly lots that you don’t need to risk it. The university crowd also gives the city a creative, flexible undercurrent.
